Norman's talent extended beyond his work with Smokie. His duet with Suzi Quatro, Stumblin' In, marked his initial success outside the band, leading to a thriving solo career. His solo career has since flourished, boasting 21 hit singles and approximately 22 albums, with over 20 million records sold globally.

The album features 12 new tracks, all penned by Chris, with three songs co-written with his long-time friend and former Smokie bandmate, Pete Spencer. Chris reflects on the album’s title: "The title reflects the fact that I am at a new junction in my career and it has been 55 years since I turned pro."
