Misleading “Walking Shoe” Causes Arch Pain and You’re Stuck With It I bought the Skechers Slip-ins Go Walk Glide-Step 2.0 expecting a proper walking shoe. What I got was a shoe that feels soft in the shop, but causes real arch/mid-foot pain the moment you actually walk. The design is fundamentally flawed: • The Slip-ins fit is loose and unstable • There is little to no arch support • Your foot moves inside the shoe while walking, putting strain directly on the arch This is not something you can detect by standing in a store. You have to walk properly & the moment you do, Skechers uses that against you. Despite “100% satisfaction” messaging, the store refused any exchange because the shoes were worn outside to discover the problem. Customer Services also refused to help. In other words, once you realise the shoe hurts your feet, you’re stuck with it. At £95, this is unacceptable. A product marketed as a walking shoe that causes foot pain, combined with zero flexibility when it doesn’t suit your feet, is simply poor value and poor customer care. These shoes may be fine for standing or very short errands, but they are not suitable for walking and not suitable for anyone with arch sensitivity. I would not recommend this product or the after-sales experience.
