Leeds fan here. Me and my 2 children (3 and 5) had an amazing day out here watching the rugby in may. The locals were all having a banter with me and the atmosphere was great. The kids had their face painted as tigers 🤣 and had a photo with their teams mascot. Pints were £5 for madri which i was very pleased with as some stadiums are extortionate. Food was reasonably priced too! Loved the fact that the away end let's you stand super close to the pitch. Managed to get a picture with kallum Watkins after the game. Yes the place is a bit dated but in my opinion it adds to the charm, feels like a good old fashioned club from back in the day and I love that about the jungle!
Not been to meny stadiums so no expert. Pitch looked great, teams played a good game and the kids we where there with enjoyed it. Toilets where the worst I think I've ever seen, seating was dirty and uncomfortable, food was extortionate and I know need a Bank loan to pay off the drinks we got 🤣
I was so looking forward to the night but I was disappointed. The service I received from Elle to book into the hospitality was excellent but the experience on arrival could be better. Tge car parking experience was good, staff expected us and access to the ground was friendly and speedy. The immediate vibe was good with good music, food vans smelling delighful and fans mingling 80 mins before kick off. We went upstairs to the hospitality as we were late due to traffic. Once inside our drinks were on the table and our fellow diners we really friendly. A singer was live and OK but not great. The meal turned up and the pork was excellent as was the yorkshire pud but roast pota, toes were overdone as were the peas. One problem in the room was the sound when the interviews were done. The interviewer was loud enough but the 2 players were not and that needs looking at as I couldn't hear their thoughts on the game or their futures. Then the seating, that was the biggest issue for me, I realise the ground is old but it really needs investment. The old stands are rickety, old wooden seats with poor viewing and a lighting tower right in front of the seats. For a super league team I was truly disappointed. Big win for Saints and at 30-0, the 2nd half was meaningless. Castleford is a famous name but the venue is in real need of refurbishment and investment and so the hospitality overall for me fails, mainly due to the poor seating, view of the pitch and room used with poor sound.
Old and needs a revamp but I love it, when and if Cas ever get a new stadium they should try and still create a similar atmosphere to the jungle, close to the pitch
Booked disabled parking for £10 but spaces aren't reserved so it was only luck that got us a space. Disappointing.
