I have called in here from time to time for a sandwich and savouries such as Cornish pasties, pork pie, sausage rolls along with carrot cake and similar bakery items. There is a range of quality foodstuffs items in the shop half such as bread, milk etc, a good selection of local honey, newspapers and much more. Hot and cold drinks available and cafe seating and tables in the rear garden and a couple of tables and chairs out in front weather permitting. Friendly staff, good food and a warm welcome. I would definitely recommend them
I was really disappointed with the way a lady on the till her name was Kathryn I believe, spoke to my autistic son. She was snappy, rude, and showed no patience or understanding. It made the whole experience very uncomfortable for us. I expect staff to be respectful and supportive, especially when serving families with additional needs. This definitely needs addressing
Sainsbury travel Money was so slow i could feel my hair thinning. If you planning visited might aswell book day off from work. Lady was nice just the system in place is slow.
I avoid this if I have to. Everything about this store is drab. From the dull lighting in the till area, to the scruffy freezers, the empty boxes left lying around, to the damaged remaining single items left on the shelves. You pay a small premium to shop there and it looks like the Aldi in Cross Gates! Come on Sainsbury's, but a bit of effort into it.
After buying 3 legs of lamb for Christmas your security guard followed & questioned me. He seemed to think I couldn't possibly afford these items. Well I'm the one who balances the budget in our house & I can assure you I can. I will be doing the rest of my Christmas shopping elsewhere. This isn't the first time overzealous staff have cost Sainsbury's money.
