B&M Store with Garden Centre

Really good sized B&M with free parking also which is pretty standard for B&M’s to be fair. Great selection of products in store, however not singling this store out but is really no cheaper these days than your local supermarket for most items which previously set them apart. However, you can still find a bargain of you look hard enough

Whichever cashier wears the fingerless gloves needs a talking to about customer service and just being slightly polite. When queueing to pay during a busy period on a Saturday, there was a queue of people at a till with a divider between their shopping. The divider did read “till closed” but all dividers say this with “next customer” on the other side. With this, I thought the customer in front of me just put it the wrong way by mistake - it wasn’t until the customer in front corrected my thought and did inform me the till would be closing after they had paid. The cashier could’ve said “sorry, he’s right” or didn’t have to say anything at all. Instead, cockily said “well I assumed people would know how to read”. As if there was any need for that comment at all. Totally disrespectful and shocking to have such a response whereby the customer ahead even called her rude to her face.

This store has got lots of items at excellent value prices but there is also a lot of rubbish items on sale. The car park is OK. The main issues are no air conditioning and sometimes it's spot a member of staff. Tills. there are often undermanned Tills causing lengthy queues. Shopfloor aisles are very narrow and some aisles have stock floor stacked surely a health & safety concern.

Hello, I have very low confidence, I have brain damage and when I was 9 I was in intensive care in hospital, my life was never the same since, the reason for me mentioning this is because normally my reason for being in the area is because I do wildlife photography, which is usually at lakeside just photographing some of the ducks and that, but one day my mum said she wanted me to get some things from B&M and gave me a bag for life to put the things in so when I’d got them I could go to the lake afterwards and take them back to where we were staying afterwards as it was a few miles away, but when I went into the store (I do have brain damage and epilepsy and seizures) I believe I picked up 4 items, I barely made it down the first isle, put them in the bag for life instead of a basket, I noticed a member of staff was watching me a lot, then about 4 members of staff started watching me and one specific woman was accusing me of theft, and a lot more was said - I can’t remember exactly what was said because I have severe memory loss but it wasn’t very nice, they ordered me to leave the store, and eventually I just got everything out the bag I brought and left, in my life there are experiences which can effect me massively, and this was one of them, I haven’t been to a store like that since and it was months ago, I only wanted to get what my mum said to get and get to the lake to watch the sun go down and do my photography, but I was treated like a criminal and I really didn’t like it and it has effected me and my low confidence massively, I’ve never done anything to deserve that to happen to me, it’s bothered me that much that I’m considering going to the store one day just to tell someone who works there about what happened :(
