We are a family run country Pub & Pantry in North Yorkshire, which opened in July 2013.

Nestled in the heart of a beautiful village, Gilling West - Richmondshire.

Our vision is to create a country pub which blends the modern with the traditional and provide a platform to showcase the region... Local produce, local products, local people.

Provenance and quality is key to everything we do. Serving excellent, locally produced artisan ales and craft lagers. Some of the world’s best imported bottled beers and excellent wines, from the finest growers. All expertly kept by our cellar-man. Our drinks are accompanied by a creative bistro style menu. All dishes are lovingly prepared using fresh local ingredients of the highest quality...fully traceable to our producers and suppliers.

We believe a pub is about more than the food and drink it serves. It is about the welcome, comfortable surroundings, conversation, ambience & atmosphere... A pub is about family, friends, the people and the interaction of society around it.

We said we wanted to showcase the region and its products, this includes our artists, sculptors, craft workers and musicians. Above the open fire and in the corner of our stable yard, you will find a diverse and distinctive range of artwork, photography, sculptures and crafts, epitomizing the region’s talent. All of which can be purchased as a memory of your own journey to the region...
