The roof is leaking and there are buckets and cushions catching water. There are several almost empty shelves. Staff are frazzled and consequently not very helpful because they're spread too thinly. Then on top of all that the 'smart scan' crashed just before I was about to check out and the system can't retrieve the data! Next time I'm tempted to head to Sainsbury's for a change ... I won't. Aldi and Tesco are both more consistent and reliable.

The staff are super friendly, there’s one colleague in particular who went out of her way to show me where the product I was looking for was with a lovely and welcoming smile on her face and told me not to worry about it and that she was “here to help”. Glad to see customer service living by their motto :)

I’m not from around here so I thought I’d search this place up and have a look at what people are saying. I popped here yesterday as I was visiting my sister and needed to grab some bits for the house and honestly the reviews are totally different to what I experienced. Everyone’s experiences are different and because mine is different doesn’t make anyone else’s here less valid. With that said, the main tills were disappointingly closed but I recall seeing a member of staff open one up when someone requested it. If you’ve got a large shop, don’t be scared to ask if they can open one for you to use. I assume that they close to match the availability of colleagues, the two that were on yesterday were absolutely trying by putting baskets away and the scanners and going to the red lights. Yes sometimes the wait is annoying but with two people the most they can do is hope everyone is understanding. I think one of the most frustrating things is those partial and full scans for the hand machines as they cause staff to be stuck to one customer but, that’s probably the system not the store or colleagues. I’m not from up north so getting a friendly hello compared to the grouchy south was quite nice and I’ll probably come here every-time i’m in Millhouses Sheffield. Thanks north xx

Awful. Food is disgusting. Veg rotting on the shelves. No cashiers. Looks like they've given up. Bought a taste the difference pie, no filling except 3 pieces of gristle. Bought a taste the difference pizza, didn't realise I had to buy the cheese separately. And if you use self service, they treat you like a criminal.

Standard supermarket experience. Adequate parking, disabled access (travelator and or lift), mostly self scan checkouts, fewer staff on the shop floor, often only one manned checkout. Prices mostly a little higher than budget stores, thought possibly a better range of products. Note many household electrical goods are sold through Argos in store.
