Matalan offers a fantastic selection of clothing and home goods at great prices. There’s something for everyone, and you can find some real bargains. The only downside was that it felt colder inside than outside, which made shopping a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, a solid place for budget-friendly shopping!

Sorry, but the quality of this place has gone downhill. I'll provide two points to illustrate this. It's stocking a lot of clothing from brands such as "Easy", which, you can find in certain supermarkets at cheaper prices. Additionally, from my experience, they often prefer hiring 16 year olds, because you can pay them low minimum wage, so they save costs by completely exploiting that. Often these staff are not as competent. No wonder Matalan isn't really a national chain.

Very sorry to say I went to the Halifax store today 3/01/26 with my wife the outside temperature was -1 and I wouldn't be surprised if the temperature in store was more like -2 absolutely ridiculous it was to cold to try anything on how the staff manage I don't know,it's not a physical job retail and so surely a minimum temperature applies ,the higher management can not respect their staff or their customers

Swift, easy process. Much easier than endless tyre-kickers . The Lady that assisted my sale was friendly,knowledgable and professional. ( Pretty too 😉 ) I would recommend this method of car sale to everyone. 5 Star experience 👍

I’d say 3 and a half stars. But that wasn’t an option. The process was ridiculously easy and quick. The lady that looked my car over was wonderful. It loses stars because it gave a valuation on my 6 year old car of 7600 and even when I went there and the lady said my car was immaculate and had only 13500 miles on it. So so low. When she went through the computer it went down to 6900. Also the fact they charge you 89 pound when they are already knocking off plenty off the value. I just didn’t have the time to sell private. But cars similar to mine with similar mileage were going for 8+. So they will have made plenty without the 89 pound charge.
