Good place to buy groceries but a Lil bit expensive than asda and aldi. A very large range of products. Only thing I hate is the price of the bag here😂. Everything else is good
Incredible service by a a lovely gent called Hugo on Wednesday Xx
It is a well-stocked and conveniently located supermarket. The store has a good selection of products, including fresh produce, meat, and dairy, as well as a wide range of pantry staples and household items. The staff is friendly and helpful, making shopping a pleasant experience.
Store is clean and good. All the fresh vegetables are available.
Yes it's a supermarket and almost the same as every other Sainsbury. Update June 2022 - Reasonably well stocked shop still. Let down by some staff who simply don't care about customers. Update November 2022 - some stock seems to be in short supply and there are gaps on the shelves. Staff (some of them at least) could do with customer relations Staff training! Somehow this shop always seems to be lacking proper management supervision. Update February 2023 same old same old, what more can you say. Update May 2023 - unfortunately Sainsburys is helping destroy parks locally by selling hundreds of disposable barbecues. Used by the minority in our parks, never cleared up and damaging the grass (numerous fires in woodlands and moorlands also caused) UPDATE October 2023 - busy supermarket, falling over student shoppers - why do four of them need to do it, blocking the aisles? Staff don't seem to be very well supervised - crowding together near tills to have a chat. Contrast this with a nearby supermarket....Updated December 2023 - self scan shopping on the Sainsbury's app is the best way to shop here. Otherwise no change... Update May 2024 - useful shop, wouldn't go out of the way to shop here. Convenient location and reasonable range of groceries. Disinterested staff - says something about management I think. UPDATE October 2024 - if you can shop round some sub committee of a house full of students then this could be a store for you. Numerous groups of 3-5 students wandering around shopping list in hand. More seriously than that the shop needs to get an grip - it's a bit like a business run without management. Example today, no QR code at the entrance so you can't do a Quick Shop on your phone. Finally found a discreet and 3 inch square QR code under the newspaper stand. None in the rest of the shop, staff unaware. UPDATE September 2025 - shop has plenty of what you want. They price match Aldi on some products. That's about where it stops being good. Having shopped here off and on for over 30 years my opinion hasn't changed. This is a shop that appears to have next to no management. Some of the staff (not all) simply don't care. They will restock shelves while they are open and block display cabinets, rather than placing them in a position so that you can actually do a shop! I'd avoid unless it's an emergency!
