Got there at 9:57 (I know cutting it fine) the man saw me run from my car and locked the doors in my face when I said it’s not 10PM his response was “we go by our internal clock” no apologies. I suppose I will get Capol from else where! As that’s all I needed…ridiculous.
Small to medium store, great staff, always helpful. Reasonable selection of food, fresh, frozen, baking, bread, cakes, dry goods, papers...
This is a pleasant branch of the Co-Op. The store seemed to be well-stocked when I visited and the location is fairly central and within walking distance of the beachfront. There is little parking around the store, so had to park down a side street and walk up to the store. The self-service machines were not particularly reliable, and had to key in the barcode for my membership card as it would not successfully scan. The store is quite small, but is overall a useful local amenity.
Called last night to buy a bottle of wine to take to the BYO Indian in Hornsea, the lady staff could see I needed approval at the self service checkout but decided to ignore and carried on reducing prices on sell by dates I just stood there other customers came and went so decided to look where she was and informed her I had wine, she clearly didn’t want to help me and just said YEAH I was fuming never been treated so rude by a member of staff, give the job to people who deserve it !!!
Went in for milk and brussels sprouts, had no sprouts and the entire fridge section was empty.
