Staff are nice, and I shop there regularly for bits and bobs. But today at 4pm saw a young lad in a black hoodie, black trousers and black trainers blatantly shoplifting, loading mince and ready meals into a black binliner. I told 2 members of staff at the back of the shop,so hopefully they got him! But disgraceful that its allowed to be happening and no staff keeping an eye out. Prices there are extremely high there and this cant be helping!

**WARNING: AVOID USING THIS STORE TO SEND YOUR PARCELS – PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE BELOW** I dropped off a parcel on Tuesday, 22nd May, at the CO-OP Butcher Hill store in Leeds (off Spen Lane). The staff member who assisted me was a woman of Indian descent (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name). Later, when I checked the DPD tracking system, I noticed the parcel was still at the store and had not been collected. Concerned, I visited the store on Thursday, 24th May, and spoke to a staff member named Freya, a woman with blonde hair. Freya seemed unsure of what had happened and repeatedly asked questions through her headset to a staff member in the warehouse and was clearly not trained to deal with such situation. The situation was chaotic and lacked control, with multiple customers also asking questions whilst she was assisting me, causing confusion. Eventually, she suggested I go to the back of the store to speak directly with the warehouse staff. In the warehouse, a male staff member located my parcel, which had been left on the bottom shelf, hidden among Amazon parcels. Due to this oversight, the DPD driver never noticed or collected the package. This lack of organisation at the store caused me significant stress and inconvenience, especially as the parcel contained a phone valued at over £1,000. I ultimately decided to take my parcel back and drop it off at a different Co-op branch in North Leeds. Thankfully, the DPD driver successfully collected it on Friday, 25th May. I will never use this store for parcel services again or to make purchases. The disorganisation and lack of professionalism have lost my trust completely.

The man behind the till was taking a personal phone call and seems uninterested in engaging with the customer. I genuinely wouldn't mind him taking a personal call if he wasn't actively serving customers at the time, but he was.
