Shop now open . This is one of the smaller Screwfix shops and it’s on Lister Hill. The main thing to be wary of here is rush hour traffic in the morning and afternoon as this road gets busy . The car park has been refurbished and even tho small they have put in a disabled bay . It’s not right for everyone but ok for rear loading but no room to open door wide on right hand side if you drive straight in . This depends of course on the size of your vehicle . Reversing out is tight especially if there are other cars too . The entrance to the shop is flat and level and the door is wide two piece glass . but it’s not automatic However on the plus points when renovating the premises they have paid considerable attention to disability needs . To gain access to the store there is a bell switch on the wall which when you operate it informs a member of staff inside and they come to the door to give you entry . Inside there is room to move around but I didn’t see wc. The floor is flat and level and there is space to manoeuvre a wheelchair . The customer space is a bit limited as the counter with four tills is in front of you . The warehouse itself is well stocked and quite large and of course by using the screwfix catalogue you can order your goods. I noticed also there is a side room for tradesmen (joiners,plumbers and electricians )with its own trade counter. They also operate a hearing loop system and disabled customers will be given help with their purchases.The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful .I was treated with every courtesy and helped into the shop and out again .

Attended the store today and was absolutely blown away by the amazing customer service that Maya has. She helped me find the exact size pack of screws and even showed me the cheapest one, she is an absolute credit to this company and I will be making this my main hardware store, just because of her! Well Done Maya!

A strange review this, but an honest one all the same, as always. 4* I thought was fair as 99% of the staff are brilliant, and Bryan the store Manager is a really good guy. Be unfair to rate any lower. I used to go on here a few times a week, and spend a packet in there. Most of the staff knew me by my first name, and I really like them as people, very friendly and helpful etc etc. BUT - Unfortunately, one of them has absolutely zero manners/people skills/any clue how to treat loyal customers, and by that I mean downright rude; once even using the F word when speaking to me (not in any argument/confrontation with her whatsoever) infront of other Screwfix staff - that looked as stunned as I was.. So I stopped going and won’t be returning; I will spend my money somewhere else where I get spoken to better. My fourteen year old daughter has been in to get bits for me now and again, and she said to me she was rude to her too. Must be our surname maybe ? I have put a complaint in and hopefully Screwfix will deal with it properly, and I have cancelled my trade account - no choice but to, not messing around. I won���t spend my money if I am being spoken to like something someone has trodden in. Funny as other people have also mentioned similar things too, needs to be dealt with asap - otherwise more customers will be lost to downright rudeness. Interesting what Mark Wilson had to say too 👀
