Popped in on a Sunday at 11:30. Out of stock of a lot of items. No sweet potato, no Coliflower and the Broccoli they did have was going off. All self check outs, no staff. Also very expensive. Seems they have a captive customer base here. Not much choice in Howden.
Good size coop for a small town. Helpful staff, good selection. Well stocked Costa machine.
Does a good job of sitting somewhere between small local supermarket and large hypermarket. Good choice, albeit significantly favouring co-op own brands. Well laid out with wide spacious isles making it easy to get around even when busy.
We have two supermarkets in the town and they are both Co-op. Prices way too expensive but they can charge what they like because people without transport have to use them. Their ready meals are bland too. The only saving grace to the local stores is that the staff are very friendly.
Staff and product selection was great but it's the only place I have been that doesn't offer hand sanitizer at the entrance. There was spray and blue paper inside the store for wiping baskets but the baskets are outside. Disappointing
