Clean and quiet place. Polite and welcoming staff. Definitely recommended for business and leisure. Just for God sake change those taps. 😅 Interior maze was a bit odd. I mean the hallway.
Emergency night call not available (there is no assistance or security at night); Very noisy hotel, you can hear everything; There was a party in the room next door and they were smoking, so my room stank from tabaco and no one stopped it even after telling the receptionist. Also there was music and loud people all night; The heating in the room was not working and windows are not well isolated, you can feel the wind coming into the room.
Stay here whenever I work away around the area, free parking. Cracking breakfast and evening meals. I can get a beer and not worry about driving anywhere,the rooms are more than adequate. Staff are always helpful. A little tip, if you are staying here, do not order your meals through the green king app. If you are a guest and order direct at the bar you get 20% off.
You have to reconnect to wifi every hour. Huge air conditioning unit next to my window making a racket all day & night. Blocked sink. Stuffy. Too hot or too cold, impossible to get it inbetween, housekeeping staff very rude, hotel staff rude, bar staff rude, food in bar poor value for money, communal corridors dirty, dusty, messy and tatty, a horrible mile walk to my room with plenty of stairs and no short cut. To add insult to injury, I extended my stay and housekeeping had not been told, leading to my door being banged on 4-5 times when I was trying to sleep, with people shouting at me and putting notes under the door telling me to leave like I was the one in the wrong. even after being told, the staff did not believe me or apologise or try to do anything to put it right. The worst stay I have ever had.
We are here for a family wedding at the University. So the location could not be better. We have had a great night with family. We had a meal and drinks. We can not falt anything. We will be more than happy to recommend this place to anyone
