Britain uses daylight saving time and so, in October and March the clocks change. As the clocks go back in October, here are a clutch of horological inspired visits in Yorkshire:
The Clocktower Restaurant, Rudding Park

The Clocktower Restaurant and Horto Restaurant at Rudding Park on the edge of Harrogate enjoy a great reputation – a fantastic choice for a special meal out, and there are rooms too.
Clocktower Cafe at Sewerby Hall, Bridlington

This pretty building dates back to the early 1820s and was added by John Greame III.
The cafe serves a wide range of hot and cold refreshments with freshly ground coffee, a selection of sandwiches, soup, cakes, homemade scones and flapjacks.
There are colouring sheets and a selection of children’s food available in the Clock Tower Cafe.
Dog walkers and their dogs are welcome at the Clock Tower Cafe in a designated seating area.
Beverley Minster

The Minster in Beverley has a recently restored clock. Read about the project here – a team of abseiling clock specialists worked on the mechanism and finished in the summer of 2021.
The nearest stay to the clock are 36 Highgate and Minster Garth.
