Have not been in in ages due to previous bad experiences, but, as I was gifted a Morrison's voucher, I decided to give it another go - no one on till, had to shout into kitchen for service, when came, either my voucher wouldn't go through or till faulty altogether. (got it on house though, so not complaining about that exactly, but yet another thing that's not working). It seems to be one thing after another with this place, I've previously experienced what others have with soggy breakfasts, dirty cutlery, etc. To be honest, I don't know why they've got a cafe, it's blatantly obvious there's no interest/pride in running it, it's as if getting customers is a nuisance to them - please stay well clear!
Update below original review It's a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee or something to eat, the staff are friendly but are not on the checkout tills often, once I was waiting for 10 to 15 minutes even when I called them, but they are short staffed and I could wait. Otherwise a great place to chill out, could be more enclosed though, I feel the design of the walls separating the café from the supermarket section could be a little better, see through glass when I'm eating isn't my thing. 29th August update. The place has really gone downhill, the food took 45 mins to arrive and it was absolutely ridiculous. Pie was crumbling apart, chicken nuggets were cold, the chips were warm but was hard like they had been sitting under a heatlamp for ages, very unhappy with the food today, coffee machines were only producing hot chocolate and at best it was watery. But still the staff have worked hard but doesn't give the excuse to serve bad food 23rd march 2025 no change on quality of food, or change of quality of drinks, machines stay un tended to, maybe because there's an unlimited coffee deal on, but I've seen 2 staff members walking straight past the machines now and all is needed is milk in them both
Food and service only lost a point because a few tables weren't cleaned and cleared of used plates etc Upon arrival. Couldn't fault the staff though as it was EXCEEDINGLY busy.
I always use the Morrisons in Goole enjoy when I have a breakfast when I finish work alway help because I am a bit fadi with food And I always get help with finding my vouchers when I want to use them I have always been treated with respect when in the store I don’t think I have ever not found want I need
Staff were slow, breakfast wasn't very nice at all, raw mushrooms, warm food that must have been cooked a while ago!
