DHL TAKE APATHY TO A NEW HIGH I recommend that organisations and individuals considering the services of DHL read this first: DHL advertise that “your customers are never left wanting” and yet this customer has most definitely been left wanting. I placed an order with a very large organisation who chose to appoint DHL to make the relevant delivery. After the second date arranged by DHL no delivery had been made. I chatted on line with the very large organisation where I had placed my order after seeing that DHL had advised them erroneously that they had delivered the order. Without me asking, the very large organisation refunded me the £189.99 I had paid them and told me that I could keep the item once DHL had delivered it. The very large organisation even refunded me £8.99, one month’s prime membership subscription, again without me even asking. The third and fourth days I was advised that delivery would take place came and went without delivery taking place. On each of the four days I was told that the window to be allowed for delivery would be between 9.00am and 8.00pm. I was also advised that a signature would be required (from me, being that I am the only person available to sign). My complaints were acknowledged but not responded to. I complained to the CEO. That complaint resulted in me being told that “the Executive Desk handle and address complaints escalated to senior management and therefore we are fully capable of managing your complaint”. The response went on to state that the driver had run out of time on the relevant days and my parcel had been returned to the depot on each occasion. The relevant depot mentioned is some 13.4 miles from my home. I offered to collect my parcel myself from the depot but was told this was not permitted. The response also advised me that no signature was required at the point of delivery even though DHL had stated to the contrary on each of the days they had arranged to deliver and referred to a one hour delivery window which I had never been advised of. DHL also stated that they fully appreciate the value of my time but that they cannot be held liable for my time or any distress caused by this delay. They suggested that I go back to the very large organisation for compensation. I declined DHL’s request that I assist with training/mentoring their staff by sending them copies of correspondence that DHL had sent to me in the first instant. At the time of posting this feedback report my parcel remains at the depot of DHL with no attempts having thus far been made at delivery. DHL advertise that “your customers are never left wanting” This customer has most definitely been left wanting. Please note that on 08/12/25 DHL have requested further information from me since this feedback report was published. They have left no details of where to send the requested further information. DHL have also contacted me requesting the same from another site who published the same feedback report. I have responded to that individual.

Left work early, made me drive over 2 hours (there and back) during peak traffic time 4-6.30pm to collect an item for my childs birthday (same day) saying bring your ID, when i got there, I got told by receptionist ‘oh no i am not sorting items looking for yours, no chance, you will have to wait for your delivery. Got told same by supervisor who says complaints are dealt with internally and told me to put complaint through website instead. Lost my time and fuel, ruined our birthday celebrations due to me spending significant time in peak traffic and zero accountability!! Judging by their online reviews, they dont really care.

Lying about delivery attempts, not contacting me when they are arriving with a unique daily changing code. Do they expect me to sit on the side of of the street to my apartment incase they should arrive? Avoid at all costs. (Before you reply telling me to email you. I already have and no reply.) they are literally the worst do NOT use them.

They rang the bell once, I immediately replied through the intercom and told them I'm coming. And in one min when I got downstairs they were already gone and the reason I was sitting home entire day was waiting for this delivery!!! Probably they'll repeat the same practice and I'm expected to sit on the corner of the street and waiting for them entire day while, again, working from home two days in a row!! I gave them my mobile number, they could have called; but no, it's easier for them to claim 'I was not home', which is a lie, and go away in five seconds. They'd do spam calls but they won't call you for an important delivery. That's frustrating; I wish I could give a zero star.
