Take an autumn walk or cycle ride along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to historic Saltaire. This Leeds to Saltaire route is just over 13 miles, and is a popular and attractive part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network.

Make sure you stop at one of the many attractions en route. The path from Leeds to Saltaire passes a museum, a medieval abbey and some picturesque countryside before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire.

Saltaire’s Victorian model village has a number of galleries, shops and independent cafes to explore. And there’s a train station so you can hitch a ride back afterwards to Leeds.
