During our recent visit, we obtained the necessary items. We intended to pay with cash, but due to the absence of staff at the registers, we were required to use a card. My recommendation is to ensure that at least one employee is available at the tills for cash transactions, or alternatively, to integrate cash payment options into the self-checkout systems.
Shelves basically empty, like I was late to the closing down sale. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t have what I wanted in stock, so I left empty handed. A world a way from my local Co-op store. I doubt I’ll bother trying this store again, there are other options nearby.
Went in to buy some snacks with friends when couple of my friends were in the way of a staff member. Let him past after he shouted move and one of my friends jokingly said to the other "I think we were in the way mate". Threatened to knock him out. Absolutely shocking how bad the service is by that staff member. We were all in school uniform too making the whole thing even worse on the co-ops end. Usually had great service there but shall not be visiting again anytime soon.
Useless staff member. I scanned something that needed a staff member and had already seen him stacking shelves when i entered. I waited a good 60s before going to ask him to sort it. I will add the machines are super loud so there's absolutely no way he didn't hear it. I ask if he can come sort the kiosk and his reply is, I'm on my own you will have to wait and proceeds to continue stacking shelves whilst talking to a friend and ignores me. It isn't my fault or my problem that you are on your own. This is the 2nd time it's happened with the same guy, if you hate your job, get a new one. Coop makes money by selling items, your job is to facilitate that. There are now 4 extra things for you to put back on the shelves at checkout. Merry Christmas.
The bakery section is often desolate and there are not many options for the meal deal, especially for vegetarians. Seems a bit hit or miss whether the shop will have stock. However the shop is clean and tidy, if a bit empty. This shop is very close to the Travelodge and open early and late, which is good for guests.
