Absolutely beautiful from cake box Middlesbrough. One of the best cakes I’ve tried. Ordered a plain cake and added the finishing touches myself. 100% recommend. Thank you to the staff for making my little boys birthday cake!

I’ve been a loyal customer of Cake Box for many years, and I’ve visited several branches across different cities. I absolutely love the cakes they’re always delicious and beautifully made. However, there’s one ongoing issue I’ve avoided mentioning until now, but after today, I feel it needs to be addressed. There’s a lady working at the Middlesbrough Cake Box who is consistently unfriendly. Every time we visit, we greet her politely with a smile and a “thank you,” but she never responds. While I usually let it go, today’s experience was different and very disappointing As soon as we walked in, she gave us a dirty look and told us, rather abruptly, that they were only accepting cash. That wasn’t a problem we continued and chose a cake. I told her what message I wanted written: “Congratulations” followed by two names. She ignored the second name and wrote only one, without checking with me. That’s when I finally felt I had to speak up I explained how her attitude has been consistently rude, and how different it is when the other staff member is working she’s always friendly and provides excellent customer service. I also made it clear that I wouldn’t be taking the cake with the wrong message, and after some resistance, I chose another one with the correct message. Buying a cake should be part of a happy occasion, but instead, we left feeling disrespected and upset. A smile and a bit of kindness go a long way, especially in customer service.

I ordered a birthday cake two days before for collection time at 13:30 bu it wasn’t ready even at 14:50!!!! Wasted time…..
