Staff member Janet is very rude. The way she speaks to people is in a rude and snappy tone and she wasn't very helpful. Moreover, someone was itching underneath their eye and she accused them of picking their nose which even if he was , it's not her place to get involved. As well as this, we tried to ask about delivery and she was adamant we had to take it with us. And when another staff member tried to give us a discount , Janet told her not to cause we only reserved it a few hours prior to collection. Poor Customer service from Janet overall, won't be back anytime soon

Worst customer service in the history of customer service - non existent! I placed an order online via the Argos website to collect two summer duvets covers due to the increasing temperatures. One of the reasons for choosing Argos was the availability of these items and the likelihood that I could collect them today. Now there is some fault on my part. I simply read collect today and did not read the email through throughly and missed the part that said “collect from 4pm today” However when I went in store I was greeted by one lady who took my FT number and said a delivery had just come in and to just wait and do some browsing while she unpacked the delivery… so that’s what I did. After say 20 minutes I returned to the desk to be greeted by another older woman who was rather abrupt. Greeted me with “have you read your email?” And told me to get up the email and “read the green part.” Stunned I told her to bear with me as I did not have my reading glasses on me with it being sunny outside I only had my sunglasses. So I did bring up the email where she proceeded to make me feel incredibly stupid. I informed her if it wasn’t ready to collect immediately I was prepared to just take a walk into town and come back. She then decided to check in the stockroom using the FT number and just like the previous colleague had said they were in there ready to be collected. She then proceeded to tell me “to read the emails in future to avoid a wasted journey.” Her attitude and demeanour I found ludicrous I was only half an hour early from the estimated collection time… I find her attitude appalling and customer service skills were extremely lacking. Yes I admit I made a mistake as a customer but I did not expect to go in today and be greeted by such a rude member of staff and to be spoken to and belittled. It does put me off from buying anything from here in the future. Next time I’ll take my custom elsewhere. Sadly I was too horrified to take note of her name blond bob and glasses (take note of her appearance and avoid) no customer should go in and be spoken to like that. She has no idea what is going on in other peoples lives and that people do simply make mistakes they are human.

Abrupt, uncooperative, and a little bit rude. Older lady with glasses, possibly Jan B on the name badge but didn't have my glasses on. She wouldn't help me at the till and made me use the self service even though it there was no other customers around. I was in a hurry which was made even worse as there was no receipt given from the self service. Had to do a refund and repay for the item, so I'm 190 down for 50 pound item, wonder how long before I get the 50 back in my account. It's no wonder Argos isn't as popular as it used to be when Amazon is as personal as this awful shopping experience.

Uncooperative and unhelpful staff and Manager. Tried to return a baby monitor that I’d purchased less than a week ago and because I’d taken it out of its plastic packaging and the tie wraps off the leads, they refused to accept it back. Despite it being in the box & not even turned on/plugged in. Their attitude was appalling and they clearly don’t know how to speak to customers. I left the shop and called customer services who have arranged for it to be collected from my home and refunded me. AVOID.

Judging by the other reviews I'm not the only person to receive rude customer service from the lady working the Argos till, be warned
