Discount store selling a variety of household goods, pet supplies, gardening items etc. At the moment they have a good selection of Christmas stuff, decorations, paper etc. Also has games and toys. Not my go to shop but I'm sure there are bargains to be had.

Just called in to shop to buy some potting compost but they didn't have any. Came out spending over £70, whoops. They have lots of cheap Halloween items and sweets. I bought some artificial plants and a set of 3 x flickering candles plus loads of other bits and pieces. It's worth a look at their Christmas stuff too.

After a recent visit its still an average budget store it has a petland incorporated into it inside , the range of both sides of the store has improved and is better stocked than last time , prices are quite good, competitive to anywhere else and I found it one of the cheaper places for pet accessories and food I was looking for quite a few things for a new pet, so certainly now a one stop shop for pet supplies, but as a cheap shop for general household items and food it's on par with other similar places, though it is slightly larger than most,

I called into Poundstrecher yesterday for a few bits, one item was really heavy and I was struggling to lift it, that's when along came a lovely young assistant who lifted the item for me and carried it out to my car, so thank you so much Megan for all your help and i will definitely shop there again.

Would definitely give MINUS stars! Staff are RUDE!! Girl gave attitude when another shopper asked her if anyone working on the tills. Is he staff or Security? Too busy talking to the girl while she is tending my basket, literally throwing biscuits and wafers across the counter? Need some people skills!! Such attitude! Not a good look for the store!
