From the very start our experience with the staff in this hotel has been amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. It was my sister's 60th birthday and I wanted to put some things on the table (banner, lights etc) and they said it was ok. We had breakfast on the house thanks to Colin and George. We went for dinner in the evening and were given dessert free. The food is amazing, I had boiled eggs and they were cooked just how I like them. There was a great selection of things for breakfast. Dinner, we had Daniel waiting on our table. 2 of our group had steak which was done exactly how they asked for. I had tikka skewers and swapped for rice, again, delicious. We all had a starter, the prawn cocktail was full of prawns no skimping. My husband had the nachos and requested the jalapenos be removed. Nothing has been too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Our room is big, bed is comfortable, we had a shower over the bath which was a struggle for me, so next time I'll book a room with a wet room. More
We stayed at Premier Inn North Bay Scarborough for the Christmas Sparkle. The room had a lovely rural view of the Sparkle Market and Open air Theatre. The room was clean and ready for our early arrival. We were greeted by the manager who was very pleasant and helpful. Room temperature was adjusted easily for comfort. Windows were glazed so that no noisy sounds were heard from outside. Food was help yourself to the selection of English breakfast and continental. Plenty of seating for meals even though the hotel was at full capacity. Parking was no problem with plenty of spaces, and was free between November and March. Walking distance to sea front, Sparkle Market and The Sealife centre. Free phone Taxi service into South Bay was quick and inexpensive, but there is also a bus stop outside. Aqua park next door for families to enjoy in all weathers. 2 lifts available for 4 floors. Would definitely stay again.
This really is a great premier inn, the location is superb for the North Bay, the car park is huge and spaces are usually always available and costs £7.90 for 24 hours. (Probably due to increase soon). The rooms are spot on, clean and the beds are very comfortable however cutbacks are clear as day. No staff members were to be seen on the front desk on arrival and you had to ring the bell on reception to initiate check in. The rooms were not cleaned during our 3 day stay, I was aware that you now had to notify the hotel i think it was before 12PM the day before you wanted your room cleaning to arrange room cleaning. Shower gels and toilet roll were only partly filled so we had to go to reception (again no one on reception) ring the bell and wait for a few minutes to request for them to be refilled. The members of staff we did interact with though were superb. A couple of staff members (Probably unable to provide their names due to privacy) are ever so friendly and its clear that they take their jobs seriously to provide professional hospitality and are both fantastic at what they do and both have very good people skills. (Nice to see these days as most people just don't care about what they do). We ate here one night and the food was very enjoyable and all the staff were superb and the food was of very high quality. Checkout again no customer relations just drop your card in a checkout box, i remember only a few years ago someone would always be on the desk asking you how your stay was and just professional but sadly this is the way the world is going. Overall its a fantastic Premier inn I will definitely return as i have been here around 4 or 5 times and i still highly rate it here. I just feel this recent stay you could really feel the lack of staff and cost cutting techniques and I hope this isn't the beginning of the decline of a fantastic hotel
Best chain hotel in Scarborough no question. Parking is easy and plentiful. Restaurant is more than good enough and access to the center of town and the beach is easy provided you're not shy of using your legs for 10 mins. Rooms are all modern and mostly clean.
Clean tidy accommodation, slightly out of area to everything near by however based on a few recent stays across the group its by far a better hotel. I use the group for work stays however the quality of the hotels is seriously going down hill. Bar and restaurant on site and easy to use, self check-in a added bonus
