Sheffield Wadsley Bridge Argos (Inside Sainsbury's)

Very disappointed in the customer service i had received. Ordered and paid in store then went to the “ordered and paid in store desk” i must have waited 15 minutes, there were several staff members who just walked by or stood getting tickets from under the desk but no one acknowledged i was stood there, or even bothered to come over. My items just sat on the side. It was only till a staff member came over to collect tickets from the machine under the desk for customers who had paid online, again she did not acknowledge me stood there, i had to ask a member of staff if anyone was serving. Even then, the service received was cold.

All the check outs were closed when we wanted to pay. We had to use the self-checkout. It is a real pain, especially when buying quite a few things. Most of the time, the scale didn't recognise the item and it took a very long time. Very disappointed. Don't think, we will come back. Used to be my favourite shop. The self-checkout is not for our convenience. it solely serves thwäe shop, because they don't need staff and safe money.

We ordered a sofa bed 2 weeks ago online and scheduled a delivery day for the following Tuesday, we got a message the day of delivery saying it was going to be with us between 11am -1pm and never turned up then got a text message saying it was 3 minutes away but an hour and half later still no delivery, bare in mind I broke all my sons bed up because it said it was nearly here , so I phoned up to see where it was and they said the driver wasn't picking up the phone to update so was told to ring back the following morning, I rang back and they said the delivery has be re processed and won't be delivered till the following Tuesday ,so now my son hasn't git a bed until Tuesday because argos kept lying about everything, they said it would fit on a van it will only go in a big truck which is another lie , I would fit it in my car , after I get this I won't be ordering from argos again absolute joke

I visited recently and was shocked by how unprofessional the staff were. They completely ignored me, and the looks they gave were full of attitude — like they didn’t want to be there or were being forced to work. It felt like dealing with moody teenagers, not trained employees in a retail store. There was no greeting, no help offered, just eye-rolls and dismissive behavior. Absolutely unacceptable for any business, let alone a well-known name like Argos. Serious improvement is needed in how staff are trained and expected to treat customers.
