I stopped here rather than the one opposite Ice Sheffield. When I arrived check in was easy and staff nice. The staff at breakfast were nice too. The room when I got in there was freezing cold. (January 13th) I switched on the air con and upped the temperature setting to 28 degrees. I went out and came back in the evening. The room was a tad warmer. Basically being on the end of the air con ducting at the end of the corridor you're not getting warm air full stop. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the latch on the bathroom door was broken. The bed was fine and the sheets and towels were clean. I wouldn't stay here again in winter time. Three other Premier Inns around Gatwick are better than this.
We had a twin room that we had to pay £5 extra for!!? Having said that, the room was nice. The USB points next to the bed were broken so a good job we'd took plug adaptors. A great location for the theatre and the evening meal and breakfast wax very nice. Clean and a comfortable bed.
Self check in works great! The staff was very helpful every time we need them. The room as huge and very clean! Great bed and great towels, definitely recommend it. Breakfast was also very good with great options ☺️ The location is good, right by the tram but there were some drug users around at night. Didn’t do anything to us, but it was a little scary. But the hotel is perfect! Nothing to complaint about!
I had a truly delightful experience staying at premier inn (Angel Street). Whilst staying here I thought I would have a few drinks in the bar, there was one member of staff, Samantha Marsden, she was so friendly, so helpful, made my experience so very easy for me. Every question I asked her, she had the answer too, she took the time to make sure everything was ok. I had a very pleasant time, always had a smile on her face, always doing something weather that was cleaning or taking pots to the back and bring new ones back, she was always on her toes. Very professional, punctual and just an all round kind, helpful young lady. I would definitely recommend staying here again. Thank you Samantha for making my stay so pleasant.
Staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant evening meals are decent, absolutely does the job! The room was clean and a good size, we paid for an ultimate one. The pillows were a bit flat but not bad enough to traipse back down five floors to see if they had any other ones. The breakfasts are frankly poor and not worth the money. They advertise vegan sausages and bacon on the menu but when you arrive at the buffet, only meat options are out. After some time I found a staff member to ask and it turns out you have to ask them to cook it specially. This takes some time, meaning unless you ask as soon as you're let in by the host or find a staff member quickly, the rest of your breakfast is cold by the time it turns up. The sausages are good but the bacon is absolutely dire. It was frankly embarrassing to have to order this separately. I challenged the lovely hostess as to why it's not out on the hot plate and apparently it just goes to waste... So apparently making people who don't eat meat feel singled out is better I guess. At least have a sign out to tell people they have to specially order certain things? The selection was generally dire, the juices were often empty. I saw a small child poking holes in the croissants, his parents left them there, which was a bit gross. Would stay here again but won't bother paying for the overpriced crap breakfast.
