Costa Coffee

Awesome visit at Costa coffee in Next today! The drinks are always pretty good here but tables can sometimes get a little messy! Staff are very nice and many are friendly. The atmosphere was pretty loud and sometimes the whirr of the coffee machine can become pretty annoying, (which I can understand that you can’t handle because it is a coffee shop after all.) Overall a good visit here, one of my favourite Costa’s in my area and I’d like to mention Alec which is my favourite staff member, thanks for making my experience better every time you’re here! Would gladly visit again and hope you can give this place a go since they do good drinks for a Costa. Thanks for making my visit great

I’m not sure where to start on this. Costa need to sort out their regional stores in the north east and fast!! I have never in my life been so icked out to sit in a coffee shop because of the cleanliness. From tables stacked high and wide with left over coffee cups, plates and food items to filthy and shamefully kept furniture and glass around the seating area that has been licked, smeared and lord only knows what smudged into the glass making it barely opaque instead of crystal clear. The floors unswept and the view down to the Next retail store underneath is covered in grime, slime and more dust than a hoover could carry. I’m mortified to think how clean our cups had been prior to our visit but I would guess it should have come with a biohazard sticker. Avoid this store like the plague until someone steps in and sorts it out. The alternative Costa 160 yards away is a no go too as it doesn’t have a toilet for customers. Play it safe if visiting Teesside park and bring a flask and a picnic because you wouldn’t want to eat or drink in this eatery. Shameful

The service as usual was appalling at Next Costa, Teesside Park, the older lady behind the counter forgot my milk, when I went back to ask for it she slammed it down spilling some of it, the staff do not talk or interact at all, truly disappointing and will not be coming back to this one as its happening more and more! Our cheese toastie was also burnt! This was approx 1540hrs on the 9th June 2025

came in a few times and it's quite a nice atmosphere, but I found who I assumed to be the manager to be unprofessional at times. one time I came in and overheard her talking about her holidays for 10 minutes with customers, but would yell at other staff for small talking with other customers?? which I found to be odd.
