Co-op Food - Whitby - New Quay Road

Not a very helpful woman (staff member) who I asked about parking for Co-op. I found out that there is only 15 minutes free parking at the rear of the store. Crazy that you have to pay for parking when doing one’s shopping. Not a happy customer.

I came in today desperate for the toilet to find no customer toilets. I have a just can’t wait card and a radar key as a have a medical condition the card pictured below. I asked a college and she pointed me in the direction of the manager. she said that they have toilets that are just for staff they are upstairs, said I’d have to go to toilets that were over the road. Fuming and nearly messing myself I forgot to ask her name. Just said that’s disgusting and ran off over the road to the nearest pub as the public toilets were too far away for me to get to. So upset stressed and sweating as was panicking I was going to do it there and then with no help at all, shame on you

We found everything we were looking for whilst on holiday. Due to it being a bank holiday week some shelves like the fresh fruit were as expected looking a bit empty. The supermarket is accessible with a scooter or wheelchair. I would have liked to have seen a larger selection of Whitby products, other than I can't complain. Generous amount of self service checkouts.

Large store for a Co-op providing a wide range of items to meet your needs. Convenient to park and pop in to quickly pick up a few items. Staff friendly and helpful.

Probably THE best Coop I've ever shopped in. I was very impressed with the size of the premises and the choice of goods. There is even a clothing section. If you are staying in Whitby and are self catering, then this is the only shop you need.
