we had an amazing time at the botanist for our xmas party. the 3 course xmas meal was delightful. Aaron ross was extremely helpful with the whole process. He gave us a look around before we came and helped us with the booking of the whole event. on the day he was our server , he was amazing. really big thank you to him as he made our night so much better and less stressful!!!

Wouldn’t even give it one star. People leaving the place because all free tables were cluttered with leftover food and glasses. Politely asked three times if they could clear the table for my family of four willing to buy food and drinks as we love our local branch in Newcastle, the bar staff were just not interested. Two bar staff chatting away, not a single person at the bar to serve and still wouldn’t clear the tables. There were people walking out of the door due to the mess of the tables.

Had a delicious meal here with friends. We were there at Sunday lunch time and it was busy but not packed. Our waiter was friendly and cheerful, and didn't rush us at all, but was there when we wanted him. Good food for a good price. Nice decor and nice atmosphere, perfect central location close to the Minster.

Went for lunch for birthday, waiter/bartender was lovely, but lunch was awful, got the hallumi hanging kebab, was that burnt i couldn't even get my knife in it, prized one open and the cheese was yellow and inedible. Reported it and they brought me a new one but everyone else had eaten and spoiled lunch. Definitely wouldn't go back for food. But a gain bar lady was great , only reason for getting 2 stars or else I would have scored lower

Prebooked and ordered for a group of twenty, didn’t have enough staff to cover the full restaurant plus a large prebooked group, food was ok, a few burgers were overcooked and dry, service was slow and patchy for the above reason. Condiments didn’t arrive until mains were mostly finished. Mid way through our meal the music was turned up in the upstairs area to the point we couldn’t hear one another whilst shouting and a big deal was made about having to turn down a disco in a seated restaurant setting. Overall the service took 2 and a half hours, no loo rolls in the ladies toilets which were requested twice before having to stand and wait until someone retrieved them.
