Prezzo Italian Restaurant York Clifford Street

Absolutely brilliant service. Unfortunately, the salmon and king prawn pasta was far too salty for my wife. My Very Meaty calzone was lovely and full of flavour, and the ingredients tasted fresh, but the inside didn’t feel hot or fully cooked. It had great potential, it just needed to be hotter and cooked through a bit more. Overall good value (with the voucher) and enjoyed the experience.

We visited for a meal for two and were served by Connor who couldn’t be more helpful and polite. Great people skills, made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We had the meat lovers pizza, marry me chicken rigatoni and chicken and mushroom rigatoni which were all delicious, so full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A five star experience had to end a great day in York. Thank you

Wonderful service all evening for our 2 course date night dinner. Thanks especially to Connor and Emily (or Emmie? Sorry if I got that wrong!) who were great! The rigatoni with chicken and garlic mushrooms was fantastic! Recommend getting the app for an easy free dessert of tasty doughnut balls

Absolutely beautiful food, we ate everything. Could not fault a thing, the staff are really nice and friendly. My daughters and me had a lovely time.

Food was mediocre and was cold since we assumed it has been waiting. Our starter took 20-30 mins to come out. Then we waited for 30mins more. We were given mediocre , luke warm ( seconds away from cold) pasta , that looked amazing, yet tasted missing. The people serving us were fine. They didn’t really ask if we were ok until we got our food where we felt like they couldn’t leave us alone for a second. This is an average, bland, pretty shocking , time consuming experience. All the staff were so friendly however. Each one was trying their best to do the best job they can! Out server was warm and kind, and is the only reason why i rated it higher. However the excuse of waiting a hour for some pasta. Thats not good. The only reason we would come back is that this place is an easy to book, easy to find place. Last time we came the food and the time waiting was amazing! So, does sitting on the 2nd floor mean our food gets to be cold and sat waiting while they try and impress the first floor with the big windows to make more people come inside? Or was everyone waiting - this is more likely since when we were walking downstairs their were plenty of various foods sitting there waiting to be served. Again I will state, the staff here are so friendly and made the experience better.
