York Railway Station, where the Hogwarts Express steam train used in Harry Potter films can be seen in the summer months, is just half a kilometer away. The National Railway Museum is just a kilometer from The Apple House and there is free parking at the property.

Lovely friendly B&B close to York Station which also has its own car park - we were able to leave our car there for the day after we checked out which was much appreciated. Comfy beds and a great breakfast. Note that there are rooms are on three upper floors with no lift and it around 15 mins walk to the centre of York - this wasn't a problem to us. Would definitely stay here again.
Close to the Micklegate entrance to York, this place is the perfect base for exploring the bar wall and city beyond. Warm, cozy and with exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts, The Apple House provides a high standard of accommodation at very competitive rates. Whether you're in York to dive into it's rich history, for a show at the Barbican or a evening exploring the huge range of pubs and restaurants you would be hard pressed to find a better base.
We spent multiple nights here on our recent visit to York. Everything was wonderful. The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is great and the breakfast is good too. Location is great with a very short walk to the train station and many other things close. Would highly recommend
Lovely people to do business with. Unfortunately, I caught severe flu the week before my stay, yet I was able to cancel with no fuss, and no charge. Such honesty and kindness seems rare nowadays, so this alone indicates that this should be your furst choice for accommodation in York.
Great B & B. Around a 15/20 minute walk to the centre. Room was fine for us. Cooked breakfast was lovely and plenty of cereal options too. Will definitely stay again.
