Asda Petrol Station is self service only and because it is not manned it is card only payment at pump. I like it because it is well lit, easy to use and quiet on an evening when I go. They also have an automatic car wash, a do-it-yourself jet wash, water, air and a hoover station just as you are coming out of the petrol station, before rejoining the traffic.
Inserted £2 to use the vacuum and it didn't work. Nobody to report to as they have done away with the staff. Place feels isolated and unsafe, also very dirty.
Make sure you check dates as I have regularly found items over a month out of date on the shelves. The dates on a lot of their items are VERY short, like 1day left on cartons of milk.
Went out for Christmas Dinner and needed fuel, don't understand how a supposed unmanned fuel station needed Christmas day off, made the night really stressful as we struggled to find fuel anywhere.
No longer sell LPG, looks like all Asda petrol stations are going the same way. Hugely disappointing, LPG pumps are few & far between & the pump at Asda Monks Cross was always busy. But you can't sell LPG without someone manning the kiosk, & according to the lovely staff it's changing to pay at pump only, & they are being made redundant 😡😡
