Terrible experience this morning at Tesco Petrol Clifton Moor. Used pay at pump option but after filling the transaction did not register and the screen showed please wait. Checked my online banking and all it showed was £120 pending and not my spend of £29.70 Reported to staff who initially tried to brush me off saying it will update eventually.Only when I requested a receipt did they realise their was an issue.The pump transaction would not update so I was either facing the full charge or no payment.After 15 mins one staff member decided to call their helpdesk.I have to say the other member of staff made me feel like this was my fault And I was causing them a problem. About 10 mins later their helpdesk reset the pump and I was given a receipt and the transaction showed online.At no point was I offered an apology and was made to feel like this was my fault and not faulty Tesco pumps. While I was waiting numerous people reported issues so looks like there is a problem with the pumps here.
Update: If I could add another 1 star review I would. Showed up before midnight on a normal Thursday and the whole place is closed. Cones across the entrance. No notice online. This is unacceptable and utterly insane. Thankfully this time I am not running on dregs, but what if I was? Absolutely appalled and furious. Original review: Seriously? All pumps unavailable and it’s not even midnight yet? This is ridiculous.
06:00 Sunday, Not open, despite it saying 24 hours, even says its open on their website.
They only hadva couple of pumps on and only had E10. Massive backup They should have been telling people who were waiting to try and avoid unnecessary lines and waiting.
Utterly shite. Very often closed (before midnight) and usual no super unleaded. Useless
