Looks like a fabulous place. Approached for hot drinks after the closure event of Bradford culture capital. Well greated by an Italian waiter that made a massive cappuccino. Food looks more than juicy and tasty and super well presented. Can’t wait to be back to try some of the gems on a plate. A proper bonus for nasty weather is the fire place that endows a great sense of comfort. Interior is super interesting too.

I want to leave this review because I care about this pub and its success. First off, I choose this pub because of it's excellent riverside beer garden - I just love it. The building is magnificent too - so much history. Secondly, I know the food is excellent and on my most recent visit I wasn't disappointed at all. The rest of the menu looks incredible too, and genuinely offers something you can't get elsewhere in Bingley. The beer selection is adequate too. However, the above is let down by the service: it was inattentive (asked for chips, got fries; asked for one beer and they started to pour a different one and I had to correct them) and lacking in personality and connection (this one is hard to exemplify, but no eye contact, very transactional, bare minimum of interaction). It didn't seem a busy day so don't think that could be the reason. As I've said, the food and location is brilliant and I will be back for those, and I hope that this feedback can be taken in the spirit it is meant.

This ancient pub is now a brasserie but you can come in for drinks only with limited drinkers space in the bar area. A lovely interior. Booth told me to have Ossett brewery White Rat, one of two real ales. T'other being Black Sheep. Busy food trade at 5.15 on a Saturday. Large rear beer garden/courtyard for drinkers and families overlooking the river Aire. Probably less popular in bad weather but perfect on a good evening.
