I’ve given Joe Peel two chances now, and unfortunately both cuts have been more memorable for the wrong reasons. First attempt was a “taper” that somehow turned into more of a bowl cut – not exactly the look I had in mind. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and went back, only to leave with a “skin fade” that wasn’t actually faded at the back, no weight taken off the sides, looking like a mushroom and generally looked like it was half-finished. Add to that the awkward silence throughout, which made the whole experience feel even longer than it was. Afterward I checked reviews from when he was working at the other shop in Thackley, and it seems I’m not the only one left disappointed – a bit of a pattern, sadly. If you’re after a precise, confident cut, I’d suggest looking elsewhere or at the other 2 barbers. Unless, of course, you’re specifically in the market for a haircut that doubles as a conversation starter (mainly “who did that to you?”).

Just had my haircut from George. The standard of the haircut and the beard trimming was exceptional. I'd highly recommend this place and am super impressed with the result. A well earned 5 star rating!

A great barbers, reasonably priced with good quality cuts. I've been going for 3 years and always have been pleased. I always book an advance on the website and they're always on time waiting for me when I arrive.

Fantastic experience. Had an appointment with Joe, very accomadating and helpful as I was going for a new style. Obvious passion for a great cut and amazing attention to detail. Mega happy, Would deffinalty recommend, I will be going back.
