SC-IN CLINIC

Skincare Practitioner specialising in benign skin lesion removal, clinical micro-needling and facial treatments.

About

I am a VTCT level 2 & 3 Distinction* qualified Beauty Therapist specialising in skincare, facial treatments, electrical facial treatments including non-surgical facelifts, galvanic treatments, microcurrent treatments, high frequency, microdermabrasion , dermaplaning, chemical skin peels, benign skin lesion removal and clinical micro-needling. Benign skin lesions are no longer being treated by the NHS. With Cryotherapy you can now have these treatments here at SC-IN CLINIC. The Cryopen emits a fine jet of super cold gas under high pressure with millimetre precision. The device destroys the affected tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cells. That means there will be no damage to the healthy surrounding tissues. This treatment is incredibly safe, effective and efficient with no recovery down time for the client. The procedure requires no local anaesthetic, which is perfect for clients who are needle phobic, and is virtually painless. This treatment is perfect for the removal of benign moles, warts, skin tags, verrucae, milia, cherry angiomas, scars and resistant hyperpigmentation. In a clinical setting, combining microneedling with exosomes and skin-enhancing products is a premium regenerative treatment often referred to as "supercharged" microneedling. This combination shifts the focus from simple skin injury to active cellular communication and repair. 1. The Core Components • Microneedling (Mechanical Stimulus): A medical-grade device (Imedpen by Ivanmed) uses fine, sterile needles to create thousands of "micro-channels" in the skin. This triggers a natural wound-healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. • Exosomes (Biological Messengers): Exosomes are tiny vesicles (nanoparticles) secreted by stem cells. They are not cells themselves, but "envelopes" packed with growth factors, signaling proteins, and genetic material (mRNA). In a clinic, these are typically derived from ethically sourced human mesenchymal stem cells or specialized plant sources. • Skin Enhancing Products: These often include high-concentration Hyaluronic Acid (for deep hydration), Vitamin C (for brightening), or PDRN (salmon DNA) to further boost tissue repair. 2. How the Clinical Process Works 1. Preparation: The skin is thoroughly cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort. 2. Creation of Channels: The practitioner performs the microneedling. These micro-injuries serve two purposes: they trigger collagen and act as open "delivery tunnels." 3. Infusion: Immediately after or during the needling, the exosome serum and other enhancers are applied. Because the skin’s barrier is temporarily open, these large molecules—which usually cannot penetrate the skin—can travel directly into the deeper dermis. 4. Cellular Signaling: Once inside, the exosomes "talk" to your skin cells, instructing them to repair damage, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the production of new, healthy tissue. 3. Key Benefits Over Standard Microneedling • Reduced Downtime: Exosomes are highly anti-inflammatory. While standard microneedling might leave the skin red for 2–3 days, exosome therapy can often reduce this to just a few hours or a single day. • Enhanced Collagen Production: Studies have shown that exosomes can boost collagen production by up to 600% and elastin by up to 300% compared to needling alone. • Targeted Repair: It is exceptionally effective for difficult concerns like deep acne scars, enlarged pores, and significant sun damage (hyperpigmentation). • Skin Barrier Restoration: The added enhancers help rebuild the skin's moisture barrier, making the skin look "glassy" and hydrated rather than just tighter. 4. Post-Treatment Expectations • Immediate: You may experience mild redness, similar to a light sunburn. • Short-term (1–3 days): Redness fades rapidly due to the exosomes' healing properties. • Long-term (4–6 weeks): As the cells respond to the exosome signals, you will see a gradual improvement in skin texture, brightness, and firmness. Are you looking to address a specific skin concern, like acne scarring or fine lines, with this treatment?
