The staff downstairs in the woman's section which is practically three quarters of the store are let’s be honest the worst possible staff to see. Unappreciative unhelpful and arrogant. They look down the nose of your not a pretty girl. They don’t want men in store and stare or just walk away. By the way I spent hundreds or more next door after this so more fool you. Proper arrogant. Funny on the wage they’re on. Absolutely nothing in store by the way. Pointless

I asked three girls there today what time they closed on Tuesday. All three were clueless. One said "5 i fink" One said "errrrrr I dunno but I would have thought 6" The last one said "I reckon 5:30" at that point I left..... Lets hope your delivery service is better than your staff

The one star is for the male manager that was on duty today I had been hunting for a shirt for a wedding, found that this store had 1 in phoned store and this was confirmed. Company policy is not to hold sale items fine, the manager stared that this was managers discretion when asked if he would got told no. Nothing like going extra mile for customers eh. 5 stars to the lady that helped me find the shirt when i arrived to store, she was helpful and pleasant. The manager however is a joke

Really awful customer service. I purchased a dress from the Meadowhall store but the assistant who served me didn't put the belt of the dress in the bag. I rang Sheffield numerous times but they didn't answer the phone. Went in to the Doncaster branch where I was told by the manageress 'it's not our fault." Whilst I realise this they are representing the company 'River Island' and could at least have said sorry for your inconvenience. After a fiasco and being told 'we don't post things' (all I wanted was for the Sheffield branch to post my belt to me) I was given a belt from a dress that was identical which someone had returned this morning. Having been a loyal River Island customer for a very long time. Would I return? I'd have to think long and hard.

If you want to get ignored by the staff and inexplicably made to wait at an empty till as the staff wander around and the store has no other customers, then this is the place for you!
