Visited on the 2nd of January after contacting my GP and NHS 111. The pharmacist advised only one day’s cover—and believe me, you could tell. He took my temperature using the back of his hand because he couldn’t get the thermometer to work, and he couldn’t find a tongue depressor to examine my tonsils. This does not meet even basic standards of clinical assessment. At 46 years of age, I know my own body and what it needs, yet I was advised by a young man who appeared disinterested and simply told me to “build immunity.” I left with no treatment and the expectation that I would continue to worsen for another two days before being able to contact my doctor again.
Called in to get some cream for several bites. The assistant suggested I wait & let the pharmacist take a look as it was a bit of a mess & burning up. Very professional service from the pharmacist. Came away with antibiotics due to it being infected & a back up plan to see my GP if it didn’t improve moving forward. I wish we could get this service all over, all the time, and especially with GP services.
Love this pharmacy always pleasant and helpful. I have my scripts sent directly from Dr and I wouldn't change even though a certain chemist has seen fit to change me to theirs even though I said no
I had a script for painkillers I couldn't stop where I just stop on leaving Hull. My nurse kindly made calls for a suitable local chemist and they said yes they'd take prescriptions from out of town, even if they are controlled. Anyway, I get to this chemist about 4.30pm. The head pharmacist took my script smirking and said he had to check if it wasy script. I saw him on the phone and you know what he said? I asked if it was mine and all legit - he said it absolutely is but he still isn't going to serve me. I haven't been back since... I'd rather walk further
My daughter (wearing a mask) went to the pharmacy seeking advice for a medical problem. After all, we are advised to use the pharmacy as a first port of call. She was told to sit near the entrance. The pharmacist stood at the counter, some distance away and asked what the problem was. My daughter had to loudly articulate her problem. It is inappropriate and unprofessional to treat people in this way especially when dealing with medical problems. Neither was the pharmacist particularly helpful or interested.
