Tesco Superstore

Would actually rate less than one if I could as still upset and angry after my unfortunate encounter with the kiosk staff today 26th September at 14.15 check out number 100 - the "customer services", tobacco and lottery kiosk. Stood for a good 5 minutes while the staff member and a lady of same age both leant with elbows on counter gossiping. Overheard the conversation quite clearly and it was definitely NOT a customer enquiry, exchange or anything otherwise than gossip. In spite of seeing me waiting and a queue starting to form was totally ignored while the "she said I said they said and what about so and so who is doing such and such" continued. In the end I politely asked for what I wanted to purchase. Quite obviously the staff member thoroughly resented having her gossip broken up a and having to do what she was actually employed to do - serve the patiently waiting public. Well I have never been spoken too in my entire life in such a condescending, patronising and to be blunt very rude manner! She was not there just to serve me (or the queue forming behind me) she was "Customer Services" and had other things to deal with not just serve people. The "customer service" she was providing was purely gossip while other customers were made to wait and then treated like a massive inconvenience. Someone at this Tesco store seriously needs to up the anti in customer training particularly in today's economic climate where EVERY customer is important!! Totally disgusted in Tesco Filey.

Booked a home delivery to our caravan at primrose valley, we were running a little bit late, driver rang me to say he was there so I asked if he could possible pop it inside the caravan. When we arrived he'd put the chilled things in the fridge & frozen stuff in the freezer. Absolutely amazing service & very greatful to that wonderful driver.

With it being a tiny store they tend to stock the higher priced versions of things. Hectic through summer on holiday check in days with no extra staff provided. Also beware of the carpark, many ending up with fines for mistakenly parking in the wrong side where it's a pay and display!

Always easy to get around, clean and tidy, staff always helpful, shelves usually stocked well.

For me not a local in the area this store was small for a Tesco! Nice fresh look inside however didn't offer anything unique or special in my opinion. It was hard to find when using sat nav for some reason as you only follow directions on the screen. However it provided a place for a good range of products and reasonable prices
