Great staff, good service, but it is such a shame that they have allowed weeds to grow outside of this fabulous, historic building. It looks a real mess.
More than half an hour waiting
On behalf of my 89 year old partner I wrote to his various accounts, with his signature, to inform them of his change of address. His Halifax investment department accepted his signature, but the Halifax Lloyds did not. My partner is very deaf, struggling with poor sight, and struggling with mobility. He has been asked to complete a form, speak to customer service on the phone (he couldn't hear at all), and go into a branch with his ID (current passport or driving licence, neither of which he has.) In short, I spent 45 minutes on the phone, asking about the complete inconsistency of the two departments, and asking how his change of address could be achieved, before finally having, in great distress, to give up. I was utterly shocked and beyond words. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this bank like the plague if you are disabled and/ or elderly.
Ridiculous virtue signalling nonsense. The Halifax branch covered in rainbows. You're a bank, not the arbiter of a personal opinion.
