There was a consistent, constant buzzing noise in our room right by the headboard. Three electronic tones would just be heard over and over and it kept myself and my partner awake throughout the nights we stayed here. Bed was a bit too firm for my liking and the pillows were a bit mediocre but for the price point, this isn't unexpected. Overall though, sleep was pretty difficult for us. Twice, both our room cards would stop working. Neither time they were near phones, they just lost their ID. If it was too late, we might've been trapped outside and as we were travelling internationally I am not sure there is a way to contact the reception at all from the exterior. We discovered they didn't work whilst in the elevator area, and I noticed that in the case of a fire if the elevators didn't work, we would have been trapped there (unless the door locks disengage during a fire alarm? I am dubious if that's the case though). Staff didn't seem to consider it to be much of an issue and just blamed the cards having been in proximity of phones but given that both of them simultaneously stopped working twice, my assumption is that it's an systemic issue. The only benefit of this spot is how walkable it is from the train station & centre of town to be honest. It was 5-10 minute to anything we wanted to do in Harrogate. If you're looking to pay less than other competitors in the area and don't mind some drawbacks it's worth the booking but just be warned, you might not get much sleep.

The only thing this place lacks is free parking for guests. There are a couple of council car parks very close by, one outdoors and the other a multi-storey. The latter closes overnight but the hotel card key gains access. (I used the outdoor car park so have not tested this.) Other than that, everything is as you'd expect from a Travelodge. My room was reasonably quiet and clean (the shower had some unsightly brown marks on the base but they washed off easily). The breakfast was well stocked and decent, and the staff were pleasantly cheery. The place happened to be on offer when I booked it so all in all it was a very good experience.

Efficient polite, staff. Checked in in 60 seconds. Room the usual standard. Car park 50 metres. £2.60 for overnight (arrive after 4pm I think, might be 6pm) must be gone by 10am. Comfortable bed. Never sure if this the bed was a Travelodge 1.0 or 2.0 mattress but very comfy. We used the Aircon took a while to work but did cool down. Recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights in September, and it was just fine. Pub opposite not very friendly, but good beers. Breakfast was pretty good - I don't usually eat in hotels - I prefer to go out to local outlets, but they were all very expensive, so went with the hotel. It was very good, especially the sausages. Mind you the eggs were just instant scrambled ones - not very nice. Good location, would recommend for a stay in Harrogate.

We had room 313 and it's a superb wheelchair accessible room, one of the best layouts I have ever had.. Travelodge Tower Street perfect location, West park car park opposite, bit tight if you have a WAV wheelchair accessible vehicle but we parked and it was free to use with being a blue badge holder. Even spoke to a traffic warden and he was very pleasant to us and gave us advice on places to go.. We had to leave at 2am in the morning for LBA airport and went to bed early, it was lovely, no noise at all. Will definitely 💯% return to this hotel in the future... Only thing we found that we could have complained about was the steak and ale pie was extremely hard and had next to nothing in the filling which was a shame. Breakfasts were lovely though.. 😍
