First off, the Keycards work!! That made my stay a lot better. The room was huge in comparison to others I've stayed in. But I couldn't fault it. Clean throughout and I didn't have to swipe a number of doors to get to my room. Which is a big bonus. Their service was really good despite it seems there wasn't many staff. The chef/cook is not resident and has other jobs so you may eat a little later but that's not a worry I had. The food was good, more choice than I expected for the evening. The breakfast was plentiful and I was happy with what I had. The coffee from the machine was lovely and hot. The location, Google maps sent me to 2 dead end roads until I figured there was another road to get to it. I hadn't looked it up prior to my trip as it was last minute. So its something that needs updating somewhere. I would stay there again if they put a bin outside so you can discard rubbish etc as I'll have a dog so id need to discard of his waste.

Checked in here for the shopping centre directly opposite, was a lovely room, not much of a view (car park and the back of the shopping centre) caught the bus into York centre bus stop a 5 minute walk spent the day in York shopping, came back and had a lovely meal in the pub 2 mins away from the Travelodge, had a few drinks then to bed. Nice comfy bed and a good sleep. No noise from the pub . Next morning lovely breakfast and checked out ready for a full day at the shopping centre.

Decent sleep on a cheap. Staff was kind and helpful. The room was very quiet, generally clean but there were some strange stains on the carpet. Aircon worked well - we were nice and cosy and had good sleep. If you don't expect luxuries and the price is right - I can well recommend this place. There are loads of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby, also it's not far from P+R to York city centre

A hotel with basic facilities at a budget end of the scale. Reasonable value for money but for a reasonably new hotel it needs to be maintained better. Car park lighting was completely out of service making the car park very dark and did not feel very safe because of it. Heating in the room was no longer provided by the main heating control but by the provision of a supplementary electric convector heater. One of the lifts was out of service. Reception was friendly when manned. Room was comfortable.

Typical Travelodge. Clean and tidy. Reasonable parking for free. Park and ride nearby to the city centre. Internet signal very poor. Forced to by WiFi for 48hrs from Travelodge £7 then only to find that it won't allow you to use your phone as a hotspot so I couldn't stream any TV on my tablet without forking out another £7. Very poor. Their TV guide was rubbish
