Like a scene from My Cousin Vinny. Worst nights sleep ever, paid the extra for a super room as its on the top floor and supposedly one of the quietest rooms they have. The mainline railway line runs yards from the hotel. Even on a Sunday the trains were running well.past 1am and throughout the night with a very long and noisy train rumbling through at 05:30 am, just like s scene from My Cousin Vinny. If you love train spotting a great place, if you want a good night's sleep forget it, save your money and get the late train home. Hotel and carpark directions are 2 years out of date as they direct through a bus gate £70 fine, when you phone reception for directions as the signage in Leeds is next to useless they tell you to drive through and get the fine. Dreadful place.
Everywhere were clean and decent, every facilities worked well. Victoria and her colleagues at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. If you drive a car, I would recommend you to unload your luggage from the entrance at Blayds Yard, and park your car in Trinity car park (remember to register from the reception desk, you will be given a discount on parking ticket). Most importantly, it was dog friendly!
Stayed from Monday 29th September until Wednesday 1st October. Friendly staff, good breakfast...if a little pricey...but the cleanest and most comfortable room we have stayed in within the Travelodge group. The room overlooked Leeds station, which we asked for...could be noisy but loads of fun for train and people watching. Will definitely be returning.
Worst hotel experience ever. There is ZERO soundproofing, I couldn’t sleep at all due to loud trains outside and constant noise from people in the hallway. It literally felt like sleeping on a railway track. I completely regret not reading the reviews before booking, as this completely ruined my trip to Leeds. Would not recommend
Pretty decent for a city centre Travelodge. It is very convenient for the station, with a small Tesco, pubs and restaurants nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. One side of the hotel is right next to the railway so can be a bit noisy but didn't keep me awake.
