Owner/manager is clearly the ‘snap’ in ‘Y’s bar and snap.’ When we asked for a drink to be topped up we were greeted with rudeness, followed by a patronising “I’m going to enjoy watching you carry that back.” This prompted me to check out other customer reviews which provided us with much amusement… On a positive, it was a hot day and there is a nice outdoor seating area and the beers were cold/price you might expect in Holmfirth.
Great bar with had a fabulous afternoon here.We had the dips tzaikki,Hummus and OMG curried mango dip it was amazing the kids loved it so much we had 3 lots of pittas with it( great value there were 4 of us and we were all pretty much full after it was banging) The staff were amazing 👏 see you soon ladies 😘
Incredibly rude owner. We went inside to look for a table and she shouted asking where we were going and was paranoid we were going to her flat. We asked if they served food which she said no to and then she went outside, sat at a random table and started talking about us and making fun of us for looking for a table inside? If you don’t want people to sit in there I don’t get why you’d put tables and chairs in there. Worst customer service I’ve ever had, couldn’t tell if she was drunk or just a terrible person.
Visited here having being highly recommended by a friend. Fair play the place is spotless and gorgeous decor. Waited a good 7/8 minutes being completely ignored by bar tender/ owner whilst she sorted out some personal delivery?? Then she carried on with someone else's order still not even acknowledging us. When we eventually got served (can't fault the drinks they were perfect) I did think just shy of £27 for 2 double Gins and a packet of peanuts was a bit expensive. Took our empties back to the bar on leaving and said thank you to be completely ignored again! Was going to make this place a new regular but 👎👎👎👎 Ended up going to the Postcard 10 minutes down the road, warm welcome, super friendly staff, drinks less than half the price and had a fantastic night 😁
Fabulous little hidden gem in Holmfirth. Yolanda always gives us a warm, friendly welcome. We always have a good laugh with her. Took some friends and we all had a great night! Nice outdoor seating for sunny days.
