Horn Cote Barn Country Escape and Spa

Fantastic place to stay. Horn Cote Barn is a truly special spot with beautiful open country views and a wonderfully peaceful setting. We stayed as a family over Christmas, and it couldn’t have been more perfect — the house was beautifully decorated and instantly felt festive and welcoming. Caroline and Martin were exceptional hosts; nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. A really special break that we’ll remember fondly and would highly recommend.

An unforgettable weekend ✨ Nineteen of us stayed a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was everything we’d hoped for and more! From the beautifully detailed website and smooth booking process with Caroline, to being warmly hosted by Martin, the whole experience was seamless. The house itself is a fab labryinth of rooms, but the layout means it still all feels nice and close together. They have thought of everything, from the rooming plan, to the emergency wine bottles available to buy (when we enveitably drank our supply). The location is idillic and really easy to get to from Leeds and Manchester too. Although Caroline and Martin live next door, we never once felt overlooked (and hopefully weren’t too much of a nuisance either!). Martin gave us a brilliant walk-through of the property when we arrived, showing us how to use the hot tub, sauna, disco lights, karaoke etc. The property was spotless and there's so many ways you can enjoy the house. We all said we could of happily have stayed for a week! We will absolutely be returning and 100% recommend staying here if you can ✨

A truly wonderful weekend for my hen party! The house is gorgeous- spacious yet very homely. The garden is beautiful- the sauna and hot tub were a huge hit. Caroline and Martin were helpful and welcoming- then left us to our own devices- perfect! We are already planning our next visit. I can’t recommend Horn Cote highly enough.

We decided to do something different for our Nursery’s Work Christmas Party this year and we decided to have an over night stay at the Horn Cote Barn. Originally there were 23 but only 21 attended but there is absolutely loads of rooms, extremely spacious and each room was decorated for Christmas. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and easily accessible. Bathrooms were fab with baths, showers, heated towel railings and towels. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you will need. A massive oven and cooker that we used the following morning to cook a full English for everyone. Indoor and outdoor glasses too. And if you ran out of wine or Prosecco there was a supply of them available at a really reasonable price. We used the hot tub and the sauna which were a great assets and very enjoyable. The dining area was my favourite, beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree. Caroline and Martin the owners, had put this up especially for us as it was our Christmas party. There’s a bar area with a fridge that can take 48 bottles and the table and chairs was large enough for all of us to sit down and eat together. The Karaoke machine is a professional set up and was well used.There’s a lovely snug room,and a games room. Every room was used during our 24 hour stay. Caroline and Martin were at hand if we needed them. They allowed 4 of us to arrive early at 10am to set up, first guests arrived at 12pm and we didn’t have to vacate until 12pm the next day which was an added bonus. There’s plenty of parking. We had 8 cars altogether but you could definitely fit in another 6 easily. This is an amazing place and we had the best Christmas Party . We are already looking at booking this next year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just returned from the most amazing weekend at this outstanding venue. Horncote Country Escape absolutely exceeded all expectations! The hosts are incredible – warm, welcoming, and genuinely can’t do enough for you. From start to finish, they were on hand to help and even put us in touch with local services and suppliers, which made the whole experience seamless. The house itself is stunning – huge, beautifully laid out, and perfect for a big group. There’s loads of space to hang out together, as well as plenty of cosy nooks for quieter chats or a bit of downtime. The hot tub was a massive hit, and we loved the sauna too. The in-house spa experience was next level – two brilliant therapists came and treated us all to massages, which felt like such a luxury. The landscaped gardens are absolutely gorgeous, and the fire pit made for the perfect setting for late-night chats (fuelled by a few drinks, of course!). I was in charge of cooking for the group and couldn’t believe how well-equipped the kitchen was – it had everything I needed to feed a crowd without any stress. And the drone photo experience? Hilarious and unforgettable – the photos turned out incredible. Total core memory! Can’t recommend this place highly enough – it’s the kind of weekend you’ll be talking about for years. 🌟
