Welcome to Yorkshire

Essex rock trio Bilk have announced a 20-date UK tour – and Yorkshire is getting three chances to catch them live. Backed by the pioneering Liveline Fund, the tour marks a major step forward for grassroots live music, enabling up-and-coming artists to reach audiences across the UK — including venues often left off the touring map.

The MVT Presents Bilk tour is the first to be funded by the Liveline Fund, a collaboration between Music Venue Trust (MVT) and Save Our Scene (SOS), with backing from global stars like Coldplay, Katy Perry, Sam Fender, and Enter Shikari. It’s part of a new initiative that uses arena and stadium ticket levies to support small venues, artists, and promoters.

Yorkshire Tour Dates

As part of this groundbreaking tour, Bilk will perform at three grassroots venues in Yorkshire:

Supporting Real Music at a Grassroots Level

Bilk — made up of frontman Sol Abrahams, bassist Luke Hare, and drummer Harry Gray — are known for their fiery mix of rock, punk, indie, and UK rap. Their high-energy shows have earned them a growing fanbase and critical acclaim, and this tour gives them the chance to return to the kinds of venues where they first cut their teeth.

“This tour is obviously gonna be chaos,” said Abrahams. “We’ve been wanting to do a grassroots venue tour for a while. These places are where we started, and with so many of them closing down, it’s getting harder for real music to be seen and heard. This is about connection, energy — real life.”

Reviving the UK Touring Circuit

The tour comes at a time when the UK’s grassroots touring circuit is under pressure. In 2024, MVT revealed that just 12 major cities still functioned as regular stops for emerging artists. Liveline aims to change that, reinvesting money into local music scenes and giving artists the chance to perform across towns and smaller cities again.

“This is exactly what The Liveline Fund was created for,” said George Fleming of SOS. “Twenty-date tours like this used to be standard, but soaring costs have made them nearly impossible. Now, we’re bringing that culture back — and Yorkshire’s a key part of it.”

A Cause Worth Supporting

The Liveline Fund is more than just a financial initiative — it's a movement. It supports the next generation of British artists and ensures that live music thrives not just in London or Manchester, but in York, Sheffield, Hull, and beyond.

So, whether you’re already a Bilk fan or looking to discover the next big thing up close and personal — grab your tickets and support your local venue this October.
