|When it comes to finding a workspace that feels as inspired as your ambitions, the Business Centre @ The Deep is setting the bar high. Situated next to Hull’s famous aquarium, The Deep, the newly rebranded Business Centre is embracing a fresh look and feel that highlights its unique location and deep connection to the Humber region. But this isn't just a cosmetic change—it's part of a thoughtful strategy to evolve with the needs of its vibrant business community.
So, what’s new, and how does it benefit businesses both big and small? Let’s dive in.

A new name with a sense of place
First up, the name. Formerly called "The Deep Business Centre," the revamped title, Business Centre @ The Deep, takes a more modern and approachable tone. This subtle shift brings the Centre into sharper focus as a dynamic space to work while maintaining its ties to the iconic aquarium next door.
And the location? It’s hard to beat. Perched on the waterfront, the Centre offers stunning views and sleek, modern facilities, making it a magnet for startups, small businesses, and even international organisations. The rebranding doubles down on this sense of place, rooting the Centre firmly in Hull’s identity while celebrating its connection to the Humber estuary.
A touch of art for a welcoming vibe
Walking through the front doors, visitors are greeted by a striking window tint art installation that truly sets the tone. Created by South African artist Jessica Eggers, the design features marine life like kelp, mackerel, and anemones, tying back to The Deep's conservation work.
The installation doesn’t just look beautiful—it’s also a nod to sustainability and the importance of the local ecosystem. Local print and signage experts John E Wright brought this artwork to life, ensuring the transition from concept to installation was seamless.
A logo that turns heads
The new logo is another big win. Inspired by the dramatic, angular design of The Deep aquarium building, it cleverly incorporates elements of the existing logo while stepping up the style game.
The design isn’t just about looking good. It’s about bridging the gap between the past and future of the Business Centre, keeping some familiar elements while showing off a forward-thinking attitude. A refreshed colour palette also brings in bold, vibrant hues, combining shades of The Deep’s existing branding with the Centre’s signature purple tones.
Building a stronger connection to The Deep’s mission
The rebrand isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s also a way to reinforce the Business Centre’s connection to The Deep’s charitable goals. As Katy Duke, CEO of The Deep, explains:
“Whilst the site has now formed its own identity, it has equally helped to cultivate a stronger connection to The Deep and our mission. This understanding helps organisations and clients to recognise that their business helps to support The Deep’s charitable objectives and vital conservation work.”
That’s a pretty great feel-good factor for anyone choosing to base their business here.
A workspace for every business
Whether you’re a one-person startup or part of a large national organisation, the Business Centre @ The Deep has something to offer. With flexible office spaces, free on-site parking, and those stunning waterfront views, it’s easy to see why so many businesses are calling it home.
According to Freya Cross, Head of Business & Corporate:
“Our location and flexible workspaces are ideal for modern start-up businesses, as well as larger national and international businesses, and we wanted this to be reflected through the change in emphasis in our name and new logo.”
Freya also highlights how the Centre has become a hub for smaller organisations in recent years. And with 2025 just around the corner, the team is buzzing with excitement for what’s to come.
Why the rebrand matters
At its heart, this rebrand is about more than just a fresh coat of paint. It’s about creating a space that reflects the ambitions of its tenants, celebrates its unique location, and supports the broader mission of The Deep.
Looking to take your business to the next level? You might just find the perfect home here.
With its refreshed identity, inspiring location, and strong values, the Business Centre @ The Deep is ready to help businesses thrive. Will yours be next?
