Really enjoyed this place and will definitely be going back. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there was so much to look at. Absolutely LOVED the penguins. Great place for adults and kids alike. My only small criticism is that I wish I knew that you get a yearly ticket with the adoption packs, had I known this I would have preferred to buy the kit rather than just the ticket.
Had a great couple hours exploring round here i loved the jellyfish room the best. Very accessible for all levels of abilities, plenty of toilets around and a cafe for food. Very colourful and alot of interactive displays for children. The gift shop at the end is great.
This place is truly fantastic. Quite pricey for tickets initially but when you factor in that they can be used for a whole year, it means it's amazing value. A great mix of history, geography, geology and biology that would get the most disinterested person interested. So many different animals can be seen and it is obvious that they are all extremely well looked after. The gift shop is very well priced with lovely friendly staff. Would give this place a 100% approval rating!
Amazingly managed spaces. The best part is - if you visit for once - the ticket usually remains valid for a year; i e. you can visit as many times as you want for a year with a single ticket for once. It is very well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Visited for the first time at a weekend. It was the start of half term and it was very busy. Everything was clean and tidy and the glass was mostly smudge free. The toilets were clean. I used the stairs instead of the lift as the queue was quite long. The gift shop was varied and items are not overpriced.
