1. ENTER THE WORLD OF THE VIKINGS, York, North Yorkshire

3. PREMIER SHOW CAVE, Nidderdale, North Yorkshire

Stump Cross Caverns is one of Britain’s premier show caves. It’s a site of special scientific interest and home to some incredible natural formations. Tour the lit caves and explore the ancient rock features close up: an awe-inspiring geological experience.

4. INDOOR MEETS OUTDOOR, North Cave, East Yorkshire

A unique ‘indoor meets outdoor’ adventure attraction, William’s Den in North Cave will have kids playing, exploring, running, climbing, building dens and learning. Not forgetting the expansive outdoor play area.

5. HANDS-ON LEARNING, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

The National Emergency Services Museum is the world’s largest joint 999 museum showing an insight into all of our Emergency Services through hands-on learning. With over 50 vehicles on site and three floors of exhibits to investigate.

6. DISCOVER HISTORIC HULL, Hull, East Yorkshire

7. WACKY WORLD, near Malton, North Yorkshire

One day is never enough at Flamingo Land, with its seven themed areas and eight adrenalin-fuelled rides, including Children’s Planet, an active play zone for younger guests. Journey through The Lost Kingdom’s vast African plains and the wet and wacky world of Splosh!

8. HORRIBLE HISTORY, York, North Yorkshire

A 75-minute journey into more than 2000 years of York’s horrible history. The York Dungeon brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, stages and scenes in a truly unique and exciting walk-through experience that you see, hear, feel and smell.

9. GREAT DAY OUT. Ripon, North Yorkshire

Newby Hall near Ripon is a great day out with plenty to do for all ages, with swings for toddlers in the Adventure Garden, through to climbing frames and bridges, an aerial slide and pedalo boats for the older children. Get wet in the ‘Tarantella’ dancing water play area! Or take an enchanting ride on the miniature steam train.

10. UNIQUE FUN, Halifax, West Yorkshire

A visit to Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax is unique, interesting and fun! Nothing is trapped inside a glass cabinet in this museum and it’s the only fully interactive museum dedicated to children aged 0-11 in the UK.

11. NEW AND EXCITING, Selby, North Yorkshire

Ever wanted to try something new and exciting? At Selby’s Summit Indoor Adventure they’ve got infinite ski simulators, thrilling indoor climbing walls, aerial trekking, ten-pin bowling, a fantastic skate park, a sprawling adventure play zone and a stylish bar and diner.

12. DAYS OF ENTERTAINMENT. Castleford, West Yorkshire

There are days of entertainment to be had at Xscape Yorkshire in Castleford. Learn to ski or snowboard on real snow at Snozone’s indoor refrigerated ski slope, scale the 47ft, Utah-inspired rock climbing tower or try the latest addition Gravity; wall-to-wall trampolines and a foam pit!

13. ULTIMATE ADVENTURES, Ripon, North Yorkshire

With over 40 rides and attractions for thrill seekers of all ages, Lightwater Valley Theme Park is bursting with mini, mega and ultimate adventures for the whole family. 14. BOUNCE BETWEEN TREES, Ripon, North Yorkshire
