DO NOT PARK HERE. Had an appointment at St James' hospital for an extremely sick child. Received a parking notice for overstaying by 16 mins, despite being back on site and wrangling a poorly toddler into the car when the ticket timed out. Car park was £1.20 per hour, I paid £2 because the machine doesn't give change. Tried their 'pay by phone' option which is not user friendly and extremely difficult to work out. Not ideal when you've got an important pending appointment. Would even posit that it's intentionally not user friendly. Paid cash but didn't have the extra 40p to pay for a full 2 hours. Technically paid for the extra 16 minutes but the appeals service don't care. They also don't recognise any sort of discrimination claim either. Now I've been issued with an extremely threatening and intimidating court order (CCJ) for £261. I'm left with no option but to pay because I don't have the legal means to fight this. This company are clearly profiteering from vulnerable people who are simply attending St James' Hospital. They are callous, discriminatory people that have zero morals and are the most morally reprehensible, awful people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Bottom line is, park somewhere else. Don't touch this car park even if you're desperate. They can, and they will use any means possible to extort you and fine you for simply being on their premises.
Its not a scam, but it is VERY poorly managed. This is private car park, but you can pay at the machine when you arrive, or via tap2park, or via ParkBee. BUT there is NO sign saying ParkBee. The HUGE issue is that when you use ParkBee your space at this car park is not reserved. So it's only that there was spare space, that I got somewhere to park. The webpage has button to open the gate on arrival .. there is no gate! The team on the help-line picked up the phone quickly and were helpful, but they could do nothing if there was no space. Advice - just turn up and pay, there are 3 car parks next to each other.
If there was a possibility to give 0, they don't even deserve that much. Watch out for this parking lot, the entrance is even counted for a moment as if you were parking there. You can't agree on how much time and what you have to pay for . You can only make one appeal, because the owner agreed to do so. I don't recommend it, don't park there. You can treat people as people and not do everything for money. I hope many people read it.
This car park is a scam, be warned! They use ANPR cameras so even if you pay and display your ticket, you will get a PCN of £60 just like I did, there's no way of putting your registration number in to the machine when purchasing a ticket with cash - absolute scam. Annoyingly I threw away my ticket after returning to my car so my appeal was rejected.
Booked and paid car parking online to reduce stress on the day of a procedure. The directions sent took me to a Leeds council carpark. No designated bays, infact no spaces free at all. I had to pay for parking again when I eventually found a space elsewhere and was also late for my appointment
