Good coffee, great sweets, cakes etc. Prices of the sweets are on the high end of the scale. The service? The two ladies behind the counter were working, one was working hard and had a very service oriented way of working, the other was too busy talking to her colleague. Therefore she forgot certain things, so some things had to be done again. The que was getting longer and longer, her colleague was getting more stressed but that did not seem to bother her, she kept on talking away.
Visited here on market day. Thought we’d be stuck for somewhere to sit but plenty of space. Food and drink as good as always. Highly recommended to have cinnamon bun warmed, although prefer cakes not to be sat on a paper napkin as things stick, especially the cinnamon buns!
If ever there was a reason to support local businesses and not a chain then this coffee shop is the epitome of it. Visited on the 4th of December at 11:50. Joined a large queue and stood for 15 minutes listening to the manager and other female staff member proceed to slag off the male employee. She was very vocal about being the manager because it’s not her job to answer the phone as she doesn’t want to know if people are phoning in sick. How about you two vile humans don’t vocally slag your colleague off. Support him and train him then maybe you would have an engaged member of staff. I wish I had left like other customers had and not given you my money. As I said to you. I’m a nobody. But I won’t return. Dreadful place
When I find a Nero I usually buy a coffee there despite the queues because 1) I really like the Nero Beans 2) The staff are nearly always friendly and jolly. 3) If there are Queues they disperse quickly.
I love a Caffé Nero haul where always possible and one of the most awesome UK coffee joints I've visited. Cute, quaint and homey laid back joint with a great vibe and very welcoming cosy seats with a great drinks menu and phenomenal plant based non-dairy milk alternatives at great fare. Dont forget your Nero rewards stamps! Earn an extra stamp by saving our beautiful planet and bringing your own reusable thermos. The single origin Brazil Espresso is a knockout and 100% worth the upgrade for sure. I love how Caffé Nero is a low fuss and down to earth coffee joint and never charges extra for non dairy milk options and has fantastic yummy vegan pastries!
